Like all fine chocolates, Hawaii’s Local Buzz chocolates will melt if exposed to temperatures over 80◦ F. If you are purchasing chocolate, please keep in mind the shipping conditions likely to exist both at your location and during transit.
When shipping chocolate in the summer months (or to an always warm climate), we cannot guarantee that our chocolate products will not melt in transit. Shipping via FEDEX 2-day air will give your order the best chance (but no guarantee) of arriving intact.
We do everything possible on our end to help your product get to you in good condition. We do not ship orders containing chocolate on Thursday, Friday or Saturday (unless they are going via FEDEX), so they will not be left sitting over the weekend. We place “perishable” stickers on the packages so that the carriers are aware that care should be taken to keep the package cool.

Unfortunately, because shipping any fine chocolate during warm weather creates conditions that are beyond our control, we cannot guarantee your product will not arrive melted. It should still be tasty, no matter what happens, but if you’re concerned about receiving melted product we would encourage you to avoid ordering chocolate during the summer months and choose one of our other delicious treats – like our Cinnamon Bun, Caramel or Vanilla Crunch Macadamia Nuts.
